changes – those are fabulous goals. Counseling and therapy are tools to
help you reach them.
How do you get there?
The journey starts from within. The deeper the knowledge and
understanding you have of yourself, the more alive you'll become!
You’ll find that fully defining and appreciating your self frees you to
release your unique abilities into your work and relationships, and to
achieve joy and flow in your life.
Sometimes there are barriers.
Sometimes it’s necessary to heal from past experiences or come to terms
with a current crisis before it’s possible to move forward. This is the
role of therapy. Through a therapeutic relationship, it is possible to
regain your bearings, and move beyond anxiety and depression.
We learn early to meet the needs and
support the goals of others in our lives. Unfortunately, while striving
to fulfill the dreams of parents, partners and children, people often
lose a clear sense of self, leaving them feeling anxious or blue or
lacking purpose, especially when their career or family
responsibilities change. For some people, therapy provides a first
opportunity to focus on their own thoughts, feelings and beliefs.
Happiness is not a
superficial veneer. It is the deeply felt result of
integrating life experiences in a way that enhances the sense of self
and increases its depth. Therapy is not about painting happy colors
over sad events. It's about integrating them and becoming whole.
Happiness is a side effect of the journey.
